  1. The taste of food was great. The bad thing that I had encountered last January 21, 2019 is that I tried the grated coconut however it is to tough and I’m wearing dental braces what I did is just pinch of it. Then I suddenly saw a staple wire inside. I approach the waitress and Give it to her and explain it to her. I said that I am complaining but they need to check the food that they were serving. What the waitress did after I explain everything, she throw the grated coconut to the trash and back to her area. Like nothing happened. I think she did not understand what I’ve said. You all know that your guests are foreigners you need to improve your English Language. Hoping that this will help you in the future.thank you.

  2. We were taken here by Thai locals who thought they were doing us a favor. Apparently, this was a nice placer and more acceptable years ago.Now it is sad, but more importantly, the animals are not well-cared for. Various kinds of monkeys and such in cages alone without companionship or ant stimulation. Elephants are chained to a railing. So as to not insult our hosts, we stayed for the alligator show and then left. We were rooting for the alligator! This is not how animals should be treated. Save your money and support an organization that rescues the animals from places like this.We were there during the week and we were the only westerners there, which was encouraging. There were some Chinese tour groups. Hopefully they will get the word as well.

  3. There’s a reason they also stopped doing the king’s cup elephant polo: the only way for an elephant to allow you to ride it, is by torturing it when it is a baby so that it is afraid enough of the riders to not kill them. The alligator show seems a little less cruel, but the rest of it is horrifying.

  4. Entrance fee of 600 bhat was worth it to see elephant show where there’s opportunity to pet and feed the elephants and to get an elephant hug. Rides are available for another 600 bhat. The crocodile show was okay if you like to see trainers stick their arms into crocodile mouths! The grounds have seen better days and some things were not pleasant to see, like the caged lions and monkeys. But the elephant show was well worth it. We took a picnic lunch and found a nice quiet spot near the ostriches for our lunch. It’s some distance from Bangkok. We took a Grab from Samut Prakan for 550 bhat. The driver waited 3 hours for us and return trip was the same. You can also get tour packages that include this zoo. All in all, a very interesting afternoon outing.

  5. The zoo is run down, cages are so small and the animals are so skinny and pace up and down. They are forced to put on these shows every day. I couldn’t believe this was still allowed to happen. I felt very sorry for the animals you could see how sad they were. Don’t go

  6. Samphran Elephant Ground & Zoo is in Nakhon Pathom province. There you will able to see a thrilling and entertaining crocodile show and you can play with cute elephant but during this time there is closed due to the covid crisis, anyway after June 14 you can yo to travel like usually maybe.

  7. Sampran Zoo is home to many animals such as crocodiles, elephants, monkeys, and many more. There are many interesting shows that are fun to watch and enjoy seeing the abilities of those animals. There is a photo corner and food souvenirs at affordable prices. Very suitable for going as a family to do activities together.

  8. I would rate this 0 if possible. Animals kept in abhorrent conditions.Bleached out brown bear in a dirty and hot algae filled pool that comes over to people and begs for food.Miserable and sick looking sun bear in a concrete cage smaller than a studio apartment in 100 degree weather.Drugged tigers for tourists to take pictures with.Elephants chained to posts with a 6 foot tether between every-hour performances. Elephant rides that injure them.An orangutan pulling on its leg chain attached to a stage while waiting to take photos with tourists.Crocodiles stored in the hundreds in a tiny space in the middle of the park. This place is a house of horrors.Aside from all that the park itself is in incredibly poor shape. I was taken there 20 years ago and when I returned to take my niece 15 years later it looked like almost nothing had been taken care of. I can’t believe this terrible place is still even open.

  9. The sadest young, little elephants in chains. I went with my Thai family to see the zoo and it was the saddest experience I had in decades. The zoo is beyond bad in respecting and treating the animals ethically good. Monkeys, lions in too small, tiny cages and the saddest were the young elephants in chains. When you have seen the rescued and free elephants in the sanctuaries in the North and in the South and than see into the sad eyes of the chained young elephants that get hit during the show, that just makes you cry, sad and angry. Dear Samphran Team, rethink, respect and start doing good for the animals. You can do better! I just hope that the smallest and saddest elephant will get rescued soon. All tourists, please don’t go there and instead support the ethical elephant sancturaries. Just some meters away is an organic farm – Samphran take that as inspiration! Elephants are the national symbol of luck in Thailand and they should be lucky as well.

  10. Elephants were chained up. They had them carrying people up and down steep mountain paths that were not comfortable for the elephant. It seems like you could gain a better experience of not hurting the elephant by having customers bareback on them, and not having the elephants going up and down steep paths.
