  1. This Wat has been in the stages of construction for a number of years and is almost close to completion. The iconography is amazing. It covers many different Chinese and Buddhist themes including stone panels depicting the Chinese epic “Journey to the West”. The various station all offer a unique and colorful take on various traditions including the Chinese Zodiac. The temple(Or Wat) grounds are immaculate and located right next to the Bridge on the river Kwai. Well worth a visit I go a number of times a month since they are a few 100m from my home.

  2. Meh, to the title of this review. I love this temple. It was my absolute favorite temple that I visited during my travels to Southeast Asia, which were many. Actually, I was templed out by the time I ended my travels in Thailand. It is especially special and my favorite because it piqued my curiosity while walking the Bridge Over River Kwai as the dragon ascended to the sky and the Buddha statue dominated the skyline. Moreover, everyone kept stopping at the end of the bridge instead of going to see what was on the other side. Actually coming off the bridge on the other side was WORTH it. There were several merchants selling jewelry as you get of the steps, while the opening to get into the temple was in a short distance. This place is fantastic — colorful, beautiful depictions, and well-kept. A nice respite after visiting the museum and surrounding areas, before heading to the train, which arrives and departs at 10:50 am at this stop if you want to head further up to the the last stop, Hellfire Pass, etc. etc.

  3. this temple is a chinese temple and it’s just by the bridge.there are special decoration all around.if you’re already at the bridge this worth stopping by as well.

  4. Colourful temple right at the end of the bridge. I really do not know why so little people visit this temple. really worth it the extra few meters.

  5. This Temple is situated on the far side of the Bridge over the River Kwai. As we walked across the Bridge we could see the large statue emerging in the distance then came the large colourful pole , we were intrigued.Once we got to the other side we went to investigate and we discovered this most colourful Temple, it was amazing. We arrived there at about 5.10, in the afternoon, sadly the places closes at 5 daily. We were able to enter the grounds, soak up some of the atmosphere and enjoy this beauty.Really worth a visit if have walked across the Bridge.

  6. We visited the Guam Im Sutham Temple on a day tour to the Bangkok to Burma Railway. The temple is stunning! The statues and artworks are colourful and beautiful as were the gardens.I wish I had more time to stay and look around the temple and experience some of the cultural practices happening at the temple- but time was very limited on the one day tour.A great place to take photos.

  7. This is a Chinese temple on one side of the River Kwai. I went the on October on the vegetarian festival when they offer free food for locals and foreign.

  8. If you have come to the River Kwai Bridge walk across it and visit this new and colorful temple. It is very nice and worth a bit of your time if you are in the area. It’s a short walk across the bridge on your right – you’ll see if from across the river and very easy to get to.

  9. If you’ve seen enough Thai Wats (temples), you might enjoy visiting this Chinese temple. It’s quite easy to get to and has some good photo ops!

  10. A different temple as it is Chinese. Just over the bridge over the river Kwai on the right hand side. Very colourful and peaceful to walk around and sit by the river. Good photo opportunities. Rest rooms were clean.
