In peace and quiet. Coming from Alsace, it looks both familiar and exotic. It made me feel like Allgäu or Tirol with the river, flowers, frogs, mountains and trees… but a lot better, with giggling kids and shy ladies still waving “hello”. I hope I did not misunderstand and that there is really a home for rent on/near the premises : next time I get there I will pack for a week, and spend a few days watching the flowers grow ! It takes a year here so either one is really lazy, or we wait till we see it happen within a week in Thailand ;)As a farang, getting there might be a challenge but in Nakhon Si Thammarat, you can find very dignified taxi divers who will take you for a fair price or even on meter. As anywhere else, you get two kinds of taxis so beware a little. I met a very kind driver, Pi Samrit, right the second day in Nakhon Si! so it made driving to a place easy, and mostly I went back to the city with a songthaew from anywhere. I paid the fair meter price, he teached me how to buy phone credit. I think he was very aware that he was one of the first impressions a foreigner got from his region, and was honest and reliable. Being the only farang around can be odd, but in daytime it’s always safe and fun. At night I wouldn’t know, I stay home or with the Thai people living/working there. PLEASE DO NOT LITTER * PROTECT THIS BEAUTY, OR WE WILL ONLY WRITE POSITIVE REVIEWS ABOUT DUMP SITES, Capito ? _/\_ THANK YOU
