  1. Don’t bother trying to see the memorial (spelled “memorail” on the concrete sign – they couldn’t even get that right). The wooden pathway to the memorial is overgrown, in serious need of fixing and very dangerous. You can’t even battle your way to see anything. How soon they forgot …

  2. We walked down here to see this memorial only to be very disappointed. There is a wooden walkway to the dome which is severely in need of repair, it is also very overgrown with branches in the way. You cannot get to the dome. At the other part the wooden walkway is worse. This could be so nice if it was tidied up.

  3. Since the last reviews posted in 2018 this site has become even more dilapidated and run down. The wooden platform is mostly rotted and you cannot walk on it. You’d probably go past here without realising it’s significance. The sculptures here are missing, and as it turns out they were very recently found in the custody of Krabi police – they were removed from the site in 2010 and cannot be returned to the site due to its dilapidation. You can find out about this, and what the memorial used to look like via search engine. So, maybe one day they will be put back on display!Of note: I got about 4 insect bites in the very brief period I was taking the photos near the sculpture!
