  1. Saw a glimpse of the mosquito island from our speed boat. You’re not allowed to get down onto the island as they’re considered active breeding grounds.

  2. There is no longer any snorkeling on or around this island. We were taken to see it but I’m not sure why. Phi Phi is just as beautiful and bamboo island had amazing snorkeling

  3. One of the destinations on the speed boat was that of mosquito Island. The name is strange but we were told that mosquitos do exist on this Island. There is a big hole in one Mountain, where fresh water stream flows and lots of mosquitos live there, as informed by the guide, though we could neither go near nor could see. We could only see this hole from inside the speed boat. Visit inside the hole stands banned for about 3 years now.

  4. is a piece of rock that u can not visit, just from 100 mts by boatreally desapointing. Could be a nice place to visit if you could visit the beach

  5. Can be viewed from a boat only. Looks just like any other island in the area. Beach looks very nice. But tourists are not alowed to go ashore.

  6. only. So what to say? Tourists have destroyed the habitat, so we’ve been told. The island seems very intriguing, however.

  7. (Koh Yung in Thai) is the northeasternmost island in the Phi Phi group. Lying some 2.5km off Koh Phi Phi Don’s northern tip, it has a bent nail-like shape (when viewed from above) . As with five of the six islands that form the island . The eastern side of Mosquito Island hosts two beaches which are rarely visited. This is mostly because the island owes its name to the legion of mosquitos that show up around sunset, making it rather uncomfortable for those wanting a romantic candle-lit dinner on the beach.

  8. We went around the island with a longtail boat (30 minutes) and we admired the wonderful and impessive rocks. We have seen only very small beaches.

  9. Nice white sands beach, but with no mosquitos! Thanks God! We spent very pleasant hours there during a long tai-boat trip.

  10. The island is beautiful and be watched from the boat. Tourists are not allowed to get down at the island. We visited the place on our four island visit to phi phi. Beautiful and scenic place.
