We have been the Naklea Market for Seafood a few times. The seafood was fresh. We bought fish and had it grilled. The market is usually busy. The prices are reasonable.
Have to take couple of songtaew change at Dolphin Roundabout ,but only 10baht per person,per songtaewChoose whatever you want living fish,prawns,lobster,crabs that will try to bit you and shellfishGive to restaurant to BBQ for you ,once you agree a price for this serviceEat indoors or better still picnic in the grass ,another stall will rent you a mat,sell you water,soft drinks or beer Unforgettable day out ,come back before sunset ,on same price songtaew
This should be on most travelers must do list if visiting this area and you like delicious seafood. The market itself has a great selection of seafood and other items at very reasonable prices. You can then have this cooked by any number of restaurants just outside.My friends and I had scallops, prawns and a small whole fish, all of which was cooked beautifully.This is not Michelin star dining but the flavours are certainly worth 3 stars for sure. I’ll certainly be back to enjoy another brunch.A word of warning: weekends are not a great time to go, because this place gets super busy. Another word of warning: the markets are a full of seafood so there’s a lot of water on the ground from melted ice. Don’t wear your designer white clothes and expect them to be the same color when you leave!!
The market offers fresh seafood at reasonable prices. We bought fish for 180 Baht and paid 50 Baht to grill it. We also bought shrimps and crabs to cook it at our condo.

Great prices with some seafood but others compared to western countries much the same. Good to see the same old tricks being applied order half a kilo and you get one kilo or order one kilo get two and it’s just a standard up sell of their product. Word of warning if you are looking at something that hasn’t a price tag ask before you buy. Go in the morning not after 10:00am otherwise it gets too busy.
It looked nice and prices are decent, but the seafood quality and taste is only average. Very busy on a Saturday! Would only recommend if you like seafood and have time to spare.
If you bring seafood to the restaurants to cook for you and eat in the restaurant, it will be expensive because they charge 50 baht per person and 50 baht for seafood sauce, 30 baht for soft drinks. If you ask them to cook and take away, it will be cheaper. U can buy seafood sauce from 7 eleven.
seafood market has to be one of the best places to get the most selection of seafood in one spot, there’s restaurants also . Seafood lovers rejoice! a huge selection of fresh ; lobsters, shrimp, crab, fish, oysters, clams, other shells, squid and much more.
