  1. Hin Dad Hot Spring is a pool with natural warm wather fresh delivered from mother earth inner heat reservoir 🙂 We were visiting during a long drought so the river running until was almost dry.

  2. We reached Hin Dat Hot Springs in the evening (around 7:30 p.m.). It is a great time to take a dip in the waters. Hot water and cool(ish) air helped set the right environment.Mostly visited by locals and (some) tourists from China and Japan. A cold beer (Leo) after the hot dip was a fantastic end to the visit. A long drive back to Kanchanaburi allowed time for reflection on this very beautiful country.

  3. This is a typical Thai style hot spring. Two concrete pools plus the cool river. Admission for farang was 60b. There were change rooms and lockers (extra 30b). Lots of snack sellers. Maybe my experience would have been better if it wasn’t so crowded, but I was in and out in 30 minutes.

  4. What I minded a bit from organization point of view is lack of lockers. There are changing booths, but no place where to leave purse or bag.

  5. We went to these springs and was initially quite impressed, water a balmy 41 degrees, changing rooms and showers and lockers for hire at 20 bht. There is a river running along side and surrounded by trees. Women are requested not to enter if on their period but honestly, that’s the least of their concerns. The place is busy with loads of Asian tourists and seriously demonstrated highly questionable hygiene practices. I saw people cutting their nails, brushing their teeth and spitting out, and shaving IN THE SPRINGS!!!!! I couldn’t get out quick enough. There were staff about but no one said anything. Utterly gross and if that’s your thing then fine but I find nothing relaxing about sitting in people’s spit with cruddy toe nails floating by….

  6. I used a hot spring in a resort close to Erawan falls at the weekend – Phutoey Resort- and I felt unwell after it with slight fever and mild hallucinations at night time.. I do not know if the water was contaminated with heavy metals or not (these symptoms are typical of some heavy metal poisoning). However, another factor is that there was a lot of bush burning going on and the area was covered in a smoky haze (actually, these are mostly PM 2.5 particles and not harmless bonfire smoke). Nevertheless, no doubt some people will have no effect from their stay or use of the hot water.

  7. I’ve been to a few hot springs in Thailand and the US, and when compared to western standards, this one just isn’t up to snuff. It’s overcrowded, a bit run down and somewhat dirty. I would have given this place 2 stars, but since they charge based on skin color (white people pay more) I will knock a star off and give this place 1 star. If you’re visiting Thailand, I would not recommend wasting your time here. Even if you live here and like hot springs, this one is not worth it.

  8. Did you know that during WW2 and the building of the Thai-Burma Railway this was the site of a Japanese Army ‘comfort station’?

  9. Fantastic place for wellness. The hot springs is medicine for the soul. I was there two days in a row. Just be in the hot water, 42 degrees Celsius

  10. Lovely day at the hot springs, we used the two hot pools and cooled off in the river, followed by a massage and a meal of grilled meat and papaya salad at one of the local restaurants. It is mainly used by Thai people. Some lockers are available but we left our bags in our view. I would recommend coming here for a visit.
