You can easily do it on your own, if you have a hire car. We paid an entry fee of BHT 200 per person. There is no need to join a tour company.
Bor Thor kayaking was a fantastic excursion, I was worried it would be overcrowded – it wasn’t! We were in a group of 4 and we also saw the Nature Group, with 7 pp, and a couple other groups. But it seemed like the guides were talking to each other to stagger people going thru the caves to ensure we got photos with no other tourists in them! Really appreciated. Our guide Mr Sakyoowong let us into the cave one by one to ensure it was quiet. The kayaking isn’t difficult but your arms start feeling it towards the end (we did half day incl lunch for 1000 baht per person – fried rice with chicken & fruit). Our guide was so funny and relaxed with great English! We booked thru Krabi Fasai Tour and highly recommend. We used the tour stand in front of the Family Mart near Holiday Inn express (turn left from the driveway towards Ao Nang, it’s 1 min from the driveway). Price incl national park fee. You are in full sun most of the time so cover up. I wore a rashie and water booties as you do step in water getting on and off kayak at cave. We paddled thru a cave, walked through another and paddled into a lagoon. You see lots of mangroves and the guide pointed out mud crabs and mudskippers. Great day excursion! Highly recommend as it’s different to island hopping! Haven’t done Ao Thalane but would like to.
A new attraction (for me anyway) was that one could swim in the pool. perfect on a really hot and sticky day. Entrance is now ฿300 per person (unless you are Thai when it is free). At the other site nearby we did the longtail boat to the caves and that was excellent. If we had not had very young children with us we would have used the kayaks. The cave art (about 4000 years old is really thought provoking. Who was the artist? what is the striped figure? why has one of the hands on the cave wall got six fingures?
At arrival we saw the price to enter, 300 Baht a person. That was a lot. We found ourselves a way to get in, and we walked for about an hour. Nice jungle and small waterfalls. Do not expect great things, but just a walk through a park.
Had a fabulous day out. Visited different beaches along the way, Our local man was fantastic even though he didn’t speak a word of english. He stopped wherever we wanted to, we did some snorkelling as well.
Nice well from a cave. Nice to have a dip. Great rainforest with easy to access paths. Nearly too lovely. Nature is breathtaking if not too busy.
Beautiful national park, with a lot of waterfalls and places for swimming. 300 THB/person. Ticket includes entrance to the 2 caves located 7km far from the park. The transportation to the caves is extra charged (800 THB/person for the kayak or 800 THB /1 longtail boat. Caves are definietly worth visting.
Enjoyed the park a lot. Very picturesque, many small waterfalls and a couple of caves. Lots of lush greenery and tall trees, beautiful mountains in the background.
The place is gorgeous, very humid in the jungle, jumping in the waterfall and swimming in the small lagoons, exceptional!I would like to go there for another day with the kids
