If you are not sure we which dive company to choose in Phuket, look no further.We had such a great time with Sharky Scuba that we did 3 seperate day trips.I can give Sharkey the highest recommendation, Iain was amazing organising everything before the trip, all we had to do was make sure we were at the front of the hotel for pickup !My partner and dive dived separately as I am PADI Advanced and she was doing discover scuba, but we did meet up underwater a couple of times for some photos!Our dive guides Oui, Julie and Nat were amazing and everything was so well organised. All of the hire gear supplied by Sharkey was in top condition and they had spare gear in case something did not fit. As the water was 30 degrees I just dove in shorts and a rashy, and this worked well as I needed less weight. Julie helped me with a buoyancy check at the start of the first dive and made a couple of weight and trim adjustments during the dive to get it just right.I choose to dive with a 15L tank and NX32, this was a great choice as I was able to maximise my bottom time right out to 45min, had no NDL issues and still felt great at the end of 3 dives.My partner loved her discover scuba dives with Oui – which Sharkey does 1 Student to 1 instructor.Iain, Oui, Nat and Julie…..As you know Nikki came back for another discover scuba day and I did 2 more dive days..so to say we were happy would be an understatement.Thanks Again Sharky Scuba you are the best.
We could not reccomend Sharkey Scuba more.We went on 2 trips during our time in phuket with Sharkey Skuba both times to Koh Racha Yai/Noi and really had an incredible time both times. Firstly due to some unsure travel plans our booking was made very last minute.Iain who we dealt with was incredibly helpful and accommodating even though he was on holiday at the time. He replied very fast to any of our questions and made sure everything was sorted. Even staying up till nearly 2am where he was to make sure we where collected from the hotel on time. And as soon as we where done checking in to make sure everything went well.Julie our instructor for the 2 days was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day.My partner who had previously had a not so great trail dive else where in the world was a little nervous about the whole thing. Julie spent a lot of time with her making her feel very comfortable in the water. She made sure everything was explained and that we both understood and kept all the dives way within our limits progressively getting deeper as my partner got more comfortable.We would like to say a massive thank you to both Julie and Iain for 2 incredible days.We will definitely be back soon for our Open water diver courses

I’ve never left an online review before, but I just had to for this one!I went on my first ever discover scuba dive with Sharkey on 21 Nov 2023 and it was an entirely amazing experience!First off, the website was very detailed (yet not overwhelming) and gave us as much information as possible so we can make the best decisions for our dive trip.On dive day, we met our incredible and incredibly friendly instructors, Iain (for myself) and Julie (for my friend). Iain gave very detailed instructions but in a fun and chill way! He really emphasised on the importance of, not just safety, but also enjoying every step of the process and allowed me to take the time I need to acclimate to each step before moving on to the next. He literally and figuratively held my hand throughout the experience, which I really appreciated since it was my first ever dive trip and I am absolutely inspired to continue my diving journey whenever I get a chance.Through talking with them, you can really tell that they’re doing this, not just as a business, but because it’s their passion. I swear this is NOT a paid advert, I’m just really impressed by the experience and I cannot thank the Sharkey team enough.11.9/10 would recommend!!!
I recently went to Thailand and had the most amazing scuba diving trip, since passing my open water exam I have only dived on a few occasions and my last dive was 7 years ago. I contacted Iain and explained that I had not dived for a long time but wanted to start diving again and I had heard there is no better place to dive than in Thailand. Iain recommended a refresher 3-dive trip to the Phi Phi Islands, as expected I was rusty and needed some help on my first dive. Throughout it all Iain was extremely calm and ensured I was safe and had a wonderful time. The marine life at the Phi Phi islands was so beautiful that it made the perfect day for my holiday and I cannot wait to revisit. I cannot thank Iain enough for reigniting my passion for diving, we have already discussed, the advanced open-water qualification on my next visit. I would not choose anyone else other than Iain as my instructor going forward.
Fully recommend Sharkey Scuba! For my partner Helen and I this was a holiday highlight. Ian and Oui were incredibly nice, flexible and accommodating, professional, knowledgeable, and great to hang out with. They also create a really positive learning environment that builds you as a diver. You work at your own pace, are never unnecessarily stressed and learning is adapted for you. Helen, under their guidance, became a confident and enthusiastic diver, and I also really rediscovered a love for scuba diving. Thank you both!
We had a fantastic dive experience with Sharkey Scuba yesterday. My daughter and I are both qualified divers but inexperienced and rusty, however Julie looked after us impeccably. I can recommend the 3 dive trip to Phi Phi Islands and Shark Point and we saw black tipped reef sharks, a leopard shark, a turtle, lots of rays and many schools of hundreds of beautiful fish. Thanks also to Iain for arranging the trip, everything ran smoothly and 100% as advertised. I can strongly recommend Sharkey Scuba to divers of all levels. Next time we’re in Phuket, we’ll be back!

Having dived with Iain and Oui before, there was no one else I would have gone to for my 15yr old’s open water course. Oui taught wonderfully and my teen had the best time. Oui is such a knowledgeable and calm diver and I trust her and Iain implicitly. The equipment is excellent and kept in great condition and communication is excellent. This is the only dive company you should book if coming to dive in Phuket!We are repeat customers and will continue to be whenever we’re back in Phuket. Absolutely 5stars!
