This golf course has gone up and down over the years, but today is probably the best managed golf course on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand. The greens are in immaculate condition and all running at the same speed of 10.5 and this makes them a pleasure to play on.It does not seem to matter how busy it is, the starters at each 9-holes have it under control and golfers are able to play off at the correct time. It was really busy the day we played there, but were not help up once on the way round. This is in total contrast to most golf courses where we have had to wait for 20 minutes or more to play the par-3 holes!The new management at the golf course are doing a superb job with reception, dining room and locker room staff all working together to make it a great experience for visitors.

Our group played on a Saturday morning and were pleased to find the course fairly quiet and in good condition. The greens were running around 10-11 and tee boxes and fairways were well manicured and contoured. Caddies were fairly consistent with levels of expectations and of a friendly nature. The course is generous, which was good for the group but might not pose much of a challenge for lower hcap golfers, although still enjoyable.The course has good changing facilities, with attentive staff. There is an outdoor terrace area overlooking the course with panoramic views to enjoy post round F & B.We got to the course from central Bangkok in roughly 60 mins. Would return again if I was in the area.
I played with a group of 8 in July 2017. Had a great caddy who knew her numbers. Very enjoyable course with some very pretty holes. Will be back.
One of 6 courses played in Pattaya area. Was a challenging course to play and in great condition. Up with most of the better course around Pattaya.
The Golf and the Clubhouse are first class, so are the staff and caddies, what is not very good is the road system for getting to the Golf Club.Now that the number 7 motorway is all fenced off you can only get to the Golf Course via the two lane road that runs along side the motorway, you must leave the motorway well before you get to the old (easy) turning.This makes getting there much longer and more difficult.
Four of us had a realy enjoyable round,organised for us by Coco Golf…a very customer focussed golf tour group..We hackers (in the 20’s handicap)had a reasonable chance of playing to our handicaps..The A graders also enjoyed the challenge as there are a number of traps for the big hitters..Caddies were very good,,facilities were very good…The course is not quite as good as some of the more famous courses…however,I recommend you give it a try…it’s fun…It’s located about 1/2 to 3/4 hour drive from North Pattaya
Located in between Bangkok and Pattaya is Khao Kheaw, a 27 holes course that offers good 4 hours for any golfers visiting. You might ask – Why KK GC is a 4 and Chee Chan GCC is also a 4? In terms of course maintenance, luxurious clubhouse, KK is slightly below par to Chee Chan. But in terms of scenery, I would rate both these courses equally superb! Khao Kheow has its equal share of valleys/mountains and lakes views. Chee Chan which rightfully deserve a 5 stars got knocked down a star due to their starter hut service but Khao Kheow, a course which has been around for some time provides good services throughout. This course makes it worthwhile for any golfers who want to play it if they are in Pattaya or BKK. Traffic can be really bad if you are coming back to Bangkok after your PM game. Try a AM game….
Not as finely manicured as Siam Old Course but thats not to say it wasn’t in very good nick – I just loved the Khao Kheow course. I am off 18 handicap and found the course challenging with its fairways narrower than many around Pattaya but enjoyed plotting my way from tee to green. The lateral water hazards made accuracy a must and thankfully I was on target for most of the day. Greens were consistent and reasonably quick (so that’s where I had most of my trouble during my entire Pattaya visit) and the caddys friendly and polite. Value for money too with our membership of the Pattaya Sports Club meaning the cost was 800 Baht …then add on cart and caddy too of course. This is the one course I would play again and again if I was a Pattaya resident.
Do not go to this golf club if you are a solo player. I paid for two players on Golfsaver to play solo and after one hour’s drive from Pattaya I was told I could not play until 2pm because solo player not allowed on regular teetimes. I had booked a 12.22 teetime. Fortunayely Golfsaver refunded me one player fee. The grounds here look parched and the facilities like an old public course. Not only is driving range around 300 yd walk from clubhouse but they charge you extra to use it. Has to be the worst golf facilities and service I have encountered in Thailand. Honestly not worth the heavy lorry traffic drive up from Pattaya or Bangkok when you have so many good golf courses in the area. Try Laem Chabang or Chee Chan golf course for a first rate experience either solo or as a group.
