  1. Before trip, I have contacted DID office in Bangkok to check the English tour time and ticket. No one replied my email even I have forwarded again. Someone from International hub of DID responded me copy Bangkok staff, still no response. I then found the facebook page and send message. I received a reply after 30 hours saying there are three English tours on the day I visit and last one will be at 3.30pm. I had to reschedule my children program to reach there by 2.45-3.00pm and in the ticket counter, they told me there wasn’t any English tour on that day, only Thai language. I showed them the message they have sent me but all they could do was saying sorry and sorry. It’s very disappointed experience for our trip after reading all great comments and tried our best to do it within our short visit and tight schedule.

  2. Wow. This experience really makes me grateful for the gift I take advantage of everyday: Sight. It makes me respect the lifestyle one has to live without it. I wouldn’t call it worse, I’d just call it different and someone whose lived a life without sight knows no difference otherwise. In fact, they might be living more enhanced lives, considering all of their other senses are so much more activated and in-tune with their surroundings. This was disorienting, slightly nerve-racking and ultimately brilliant. I’m so glad I got to experience something like this. Definitely give this a shot if you’re in Bangkok!

  3. I went there in the late afternoon of rainy evening, with no expectations and never heard about this place beforehand. Afterr the walking tour of this exhibit, I was overwhelmed and wish that i’d have know the existence of these long ago. Would love to recommend everyone to go and would go there again someday with someone i’d care for.

  4. The dialogue in the dark was a really unique experience. It´s only 150 baht for 1 hour and so absolute worth it to give it a try. It´s located in the mall next to MRT station Sam Yan in the 4th floor as i remember.

  5. Walk in with an open mind and be “wow”-ed. Booked earlier but because its a small setup, the English speaking guide has left. They made the best of the situation and was very service orientated.

  6. It’s a simulation of daily life of blind people. You must leave your stuffs such as bag , watch, glasses and mobile phone since it could make a light in the room. All of stuffs would be kept in the locker (free of change). You must use a white cane (blind stick) during the show.It takes around 1-1.30 hours per round. The show starts every 15 minutes. There would be a guide during the show (both in Thai and English are available). There’re 2 prices for Thai as below1.Children or student 50 baht2.Adult 100 BahtAnd 2 prices for Foreigner as below1.Children or student 100 baht2.Adult 150 baht.During the simulation, you would have a chance to go to a market, living room, take a Tuk-Tuk taxi and grab some real drinks and snacks. This exhibition is really worth going !!Hope you guys enjoy.

  7. It’s a travesty more people don’t know about dialogue in the dark because it is such a unique and special experience. We were visiting from England and messaged on the Facebook page ahead of time. This seems to be the best way to arrange a tour in English. We were the only 2 doing the tour on the day we visited and we were lead through the exhibition by Jackie. The idea is that you are able to experience what it might be like to be blind. You are exposed to some of the challenges such as navigating different terrains, activities and environments, such as the park, shopping, even a tuk tuk ride. Jackie was just amazing. He was patient, energetic, playful and had a great personality. We had a lot of fun and learnt lots. He taught himself English and is great at it, we understood him well. At only 150b, there’s no reason not to plan in a visit to gain an altering experience such as this. Other DiD’s around the world ring in at 10 times the price.

  8. First, Big Thanks to Jacky for a wonderful guided tour. The experience “opens the eyes”, but much more important you’ll experience a change within yourself, the awareness will be different. Highly recommended, guess it’s suitable for all ages. Might want to book in advance if English speaker as tours are not all the time available.

  9. Had an amazing experience with my daughter at this place putting ourselves in the shoes of those without the gift of sight! The experience was humbling and made up appreciate what we have. Highly recommend this to everyone visiting Bangkok with kids. Unfortunately I hear that this place will close its doors on 31 December 2019 after 9 years in operation. So hurry if you’re in Bangkok right now!!
