  1. Cheeks Thai Boxing Club is a very clean, very new gym in Bangkok, Ekamai area. I just took my first lesson their. And it was my first Muay Thai lesson. For about 500 baht, I took a one hour lesson. There were two instructors. One of the instructors pretty much spent all his time on me. The other instructor split his time between two slightly more advanced students. One was a Thai girl. One was a Canadian guy. Both spent a lot of time in the ring being coached. I was busy learning, but it seemed like each student would do like a three minute round. And then take a break while the other student jumped into the ring. For me, my instructor wrapped my wrists. And then taught me how to hold my hands. The correct posture for my feet. And then we did a lot of practice. Where I jabbed, punched or kicked at padded areas of his hands. It was a great work out. And I learned a lot.I think for any visitor to Bangkok, who is moderately fit. It would be a great experience. You could come with friends or by yourself. And you all could learn. Since it was my first time, I did not go in the ring with an instructor. But if you needed to get a photo of you being trained in the ring. I’m pretty sure they would let you.The gym is very clean. The ring is very clean and looks great. All the staff were super. The two Thai instructors spoke enough english that they could easily communicate what they needed to. Sprite, the owner, introduced himself. He and his wife own the place I think. The girl at the front desk was really nice and helpful also. There is a very clean shower and changing room in the back. Just remember to bring a towel and change of clothes. There is water and sport drinks for sale at reasonable cost.It was a killer workout I felt. The kicks and punching require a good amount of cardio and strength.Really excellent use of a couple hours. I will be going back on Wednesday after a recovery day.

  2. Go there to train once a week or so. Of all the gyms I have tried in the Sukhomvit area this one offers the best balance between technical training and conditioning mixed with 3-5 rounds of boxing per session. Classes are usually quite small and you get lots of attention from the trainers. Even though I go to group classes the workouts are adapted to my level and progress. There is a mix between international and local students on what I would say beginner-medium level. Recommended!

  3. Cheeks Thai Boxing Club proposes intense Thai Boxing courses with friendly and professional staff.Located in Ekamai 10, the club has courses from 9am to 7pm on every day, so it can fit our schedule. The coaches/staff are very nice and teach you the art of Thai boxing in the great way.

  4. Love these guys!I chose Cheeks due to the location, but couldn’t be happier with my choice. The coaches train you hard, but also make sure you have motivation (and energy!) for the next class. Looking forward to my next session!
