I went here twice, and can’t really recommend it whole-heartedly. Con’s: LOCATION It is a long ride from Ayutthaya’s historical park area.COST It is very expensive by Thai standards.RUST The huge kiddie play area is up on an elevated platform made of ordinary steel. It looks fine from ground level. However, if you climb up there and look at what your kids are walking around on, you’ll see the top of the platform is completely rusted over. So your kids are, with wet feet, walking around on a rusted metal platform. I don’t think rust, water, and bare skin are a good combination.BROKEN/OFF There are 2 huge waterslides, and one of them was off on both days we visited. SAFETY The one working waterslide was in operation without any staff supervision, which is the first time I’ve ever seen that, anywhere. No one makes the kids wait till the other kid is off the slide and away from the bottom of the slide before jumping on. Also, there is a lazy river that goes around behind the slides, so there are long time periods where you can’t keep an eye on your kids unless you go with them at all times.PAIN But the worst part is that mats are not provided for the slide, so you get an extremely bumpy, painful ride all the way down. In each place where the joints meet on the tubes, you have a half-inch dip/bump that bangs into you right on the tailbone or on whatever body part you have your weight on. I only rode it one time because it was so painful, but the kids didn’t complain and rode it repeatedly.CLOSED There were also snack/concession areas that were closed both times.CHANGING There aren’t exactly changing areas. We changed in the entrance to the restrooms. Every single other family we saw just changed in public, like by the picnic tables or whatever. Kids, boys, girls, adults, everyone.Pro’s: We were able to swim and get wet and cool off from the heat. The park is expensive so it was fairly empty in the rainy season.Tips: Despite the public changing, Thais tend to dress conservatively when swimming. A lot of body covering is recommended, especially for females.
