Wat Phra Boromathat Chaiya is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking , Thailand
This beautiful temple is situated opposite the National Museum so it makes for a good combined visit. There is plenty of car parking adjacent to the temple grounds where there are food and drink stalls also. Toilets can be found in the Museum grounds. We have been here several times and always enjoy our visits. On this occasion considerable work was being carried out with most of the main stupa being covered in scaffolding. Some parts of the temple had been damaged by floods last year and repair work was underway.Noticeable immediately by the car park are the three figures of Buddha which can also be seen from within the temple buildings. I lost count of how many images of Buddha there are with some being particularly old. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place much revered by Thais and understandably so.Admission is free and shoes should be removed prior to entering the temple buildings.
The beauty of the Phra Chedi Phra Chedi There is a unique beauty, the general atmosphere of Wat Phra Borommathat Chaiya Ratchaworawihan. Very quiet, the front zone will sell souvenirs and OTOP products. Especially the OTOP products that are the most famous of the Chaiya people Which is Chaiya salted egg In addition to being an important place in Buddhism It is also a center for the minds of the people of Chaiya and Surat people.
Great time to visit here and it’s amazing place and very important temple for local people too. This temple are located in Chaiya District and far from Suratthani town
This beautiful temple is situated opposite the National Museum so it makes for a good combined visit. It is the ancient temple that many people respect to.
Yeah maybe just another of soooooo many temples and religious sites around Thailand… but the fact that you most likely won’t stumble across too many tourists here and the sheer beauty of the place is well worth the slight detour of AH2 on your way south (or north for that matter)
Is a sacred and respected place for the people of Chaiya. The outstanding place is the pagoda containing relics with the Phra Borommathat base being dug into the pool.Is the center of the minds of the people of Chaiya and Surat Thani people. Is a peaceful and peaceful place. If it is an important religious day, there will be a lot of people coming to do religious rituals.
One of the beauty temple in Surat Thani. Full of the respectable place for people in province and other nearby provinces.Wat Phra Borommathat Chaiya stands as the most elaborate example of Srivijaya (Srivichai).Quiet place and only man can be take the bridge close to Phra That.
Although relatively small, this is one of the most beautiful temples in Suratthani province. There is a very large car park nearby which is free and a number of food and drink stalls can be found along the periphery. The interior, like so many Buddhist temples is breathtakingly beautiful. Lines of golden buddhas surround the main stupa. Many of these are very old but well preserved. Look at them carefully! We’ve visited many Buddhist temples – some more decorative and many much larger but there’s something about this particular temple that exudes calmness and peacefulness. If your in the Chaiya area, make this temple a must visit.Highly recommended.
