  1. I came here with four friends, 3 of them had been traveling for 3 months, this was the highlight of everyone’s trip. We booked directly with the camp and they picked us up and arranged everything. While they have sticks with a hook, I never saw them use them at all on the elephants and none of the elephants and any scars on them. While the elephants are trained, they say they use treats such as bananas to train them not torture. This camp runs the elephant hospital where they treat all the elephants in the region for free. The elephants seemed happy and I didn’t see any evidence of mistreatment. We had a wonderful day here.

  2. There are several parks at this place but the elephant clinic that we visited was an eye opening experience. The guide explained about what they did for the elephants which are either rescued or placed with them for rehabilitation. There are opportunities to bathe the elephants and even feed them.

  3. So many people complain about the treatment of elephants in Thailand. I’m wary of the methods used to train the animals. As a whole, I’m not very keen on the idea of caging/chaining wild animals, so that made me a bit uncomfortable. I went thinking it was entertainment for my family. I’m not sure if I would go again but, I can say that my children did enjoy the day & we have beautiful pics and memories. The animals looked well taken care of, they played around and did funny stuff, the place was clean and didn’t have a stench. Those factors are the positive side I guess.

  4. Avoid, you will regret it. Elephant Park – correct. A place for mahouts to park their elephants. Fake narrative of being a clinic for sick elephants. 50 distressed elephants chained to steel posts, swaying, aggressive towards anyone who comes close. Find a sanctuary, not an elephant circus and car park.I read some comments on how amazed they were that elephants could play football, musical instruments etc. Do you think they want to? Is this natural behaviour? If I chain you to a post and beat you with an iron spike you’ll learn to juggle whilst doing a handstand.

  5. We dislike this experience. They use a type of hook to guide the elephant. They treat the animals like it’s a circus. Very very sad experience.

  6. Enjoyed bamboo rafting, ox cart ride, and learning more about elephants than we ever knew. The entire village depends on the elephants, provide veterinary care, and care for aged elephants. The cost to care for and feed elephants, requiring financial support from tourists. Covid deeply impacted them. Tired of the “save the animals” lingo, when people don’t think about so many aspects of this project. How bout saving the people in this village who care for these animals that live in community.

  7. Awful. I hate circus and zoos and this seems no better. Even worse are the many tourists applauding the circus act. I wish I had never come.

  8. Wonderful experience. All the elephants were well treated. Very entertaining. If you like going to the circus, this is better ! Suda, one of the painting elephants, was incredible.

  9. An absolute rip off. The elephant ride that cost us 1600 THB per elephant (about 45 US dollars) was supposed to be 45 minutes long but they only did a short 15 minute loop and said that was the ride! They also rip you off on elephant feeding, show and rafting tours. Also the elephants don’t seem to get the care they need. Extremely disappointed. Avoid this place at any cost. (There are better elephant conservation places that are nearby.)
