  1. We booked this at the last minute through ‘Phuket Online’ as my daughter was keen to snorkel, but my younger son couldn’t. This way both got to see the fish, coral and sea life from the beach. While the pick up and drive to Chalong Bay was quite long (from Bang Tao via two other pick ups) the boat trip was very quick and smooth. Once on Coral Beach snorkels, masks and life jackets were available, also blow up floaty rings and flippers (150Baht) were available to hire. Food was quite expensive with a basic pad thai or fried rice being 180 Baht and shakes starting at 100. Beach was quite clean despite the crowds. Toilets and showers were available (basic, but western and provided paper). My children managed to see multiple fish, a giant starfish, sea cucumbers and (watch you feet) many sea urchins. Only the middle swimming area didn’t have sea urchins. For a low budget half day tour it was fine, but sent expect too much – pay more for more remote and longer trips if you want to see more.

  2. Well, this reef island has a stunning views of coral reef and you will be surrounding by fish everywhere, if you’re luck as I was, I notice 26 fish species. it was awesome.

  3. We visited the bay (behind banana beach) with Royal Phuket tours. We had a few busy days and this was timed to perfection. We moored in the bay where you could snorkel and swim. They had a slide from the boat in the sea. Add to that a trampoline and canoes so if you were bored that was your own fault. The lunch was divine with a mini seafood platter. Can’t complain with the staff and overall experience!

  4. it was very gorgeous and peaceful there. Also was not crowded at all. There have a bar that u can buy any drink and even take it to drink in the sea lol. the water so clear and green.

  5. I went on a half day tour to Coral Island. I went on a speed boat with other people. On Coral Island I had 3 hours relaxing on the Island. I did some swimming had a cocktail from the bar. The beach was beautiful. I was near trees. After that the tour guide took us to another part of the Island and I some snorkeling. Saw different types of fish.

  6. Monday 17th February and we booked a half day tour to this Island, Koh He, through Sun Leisure World, however, the Operator was Nikorn. The journey was only about 15 minutes from Chalong Pier. Our boat moored up by the pontoon on Long Beach, where we were based on the Island.Deck chairs were available to rent, but ours were included in the price of the tour. Lockers were also available for 100 BahtOnce settled in we went for a walk, along the longest stretch of the beach. It looked so beautiful, however, some bits were not so good. In order to stop beach erosion, sand filled sacks have be piled up along the bank. Some of the bags have split and it seemed that litter and rubbish gathered here, a bit ugly. Thankfully it is only on part of the beach. There were a variety of water sport activities, which were an additional cost.Sea walking this lasted 15 to 20 minutes and was 1,600 Baht (£40) per personParasailing, once around the bay, 800 Baht (£20) per person. The banana boat was the same.Scuba diving lasted 45 minutes, practice and a beach dive, 2,100 Baht (£52).We were provided with snorkels, included in tour price, fins were extra. We were able to snorkel in the large cordoned off area from the beach. We swam out to the perimeter of the area and this is where we saw the most fish and coral. This was the best snorkeling we did on all of the trips we took. There are 2 beaches on the Island, Banana Beach and the larger, busier Long Beach. It is possible to walk to Banana Beach it took us about 20 minutes to get there. The pathway was very uneven and at times a bit steep, there is a plethora of small roots criss crossing the path. Footwear is definitely required, not really flip flop terrain. A very picturesque beach, with white sand and clear water. Some sunloungers here, no umbrellas, only shade provided by the trees. Well worth the walk. The were some bars and restaurants on both beaches. In total we had about 3 hours here on Koh He, what with snorkeling, walking the length of Long Beach and to and from Banana Beach, the time quickly passed. In fact we just had time for a cold beer in Bar 1 (Coral Bar) before rejoining our speedboat back to Chalong.Overall a beautiful Island, definitely the positives far outweigh the negatives.

  7. Used Triptogo and it was phenomenal! Pristine beaches, fabulous shopping and relaxation galore! We spent an entire day here and had it completely planned by our travel company Triptogo. I honestly would have been lost without them.
